Background Research
This document offers a review of violence against women journalists in Mexico, Guatemala and Honduras, mapping the characteristics of the journalistic exercise and the exercise of gender among one territory and another. Based on the above, it is identified that hostile scenarios will continue to be a constant in the professional practice of women journalists until the necessary structural changes are implemented to reduce violence against the press and violence against women. However, in the spirit of contributing in the short term to the feeling of security of women journalists and aiming for them to continue with their important work, Guardian Project and ARTICLE 19 present Círculo.
